Hello everyone! We certainly hope that this blog finds you and yours successfully surviving the COVID-19 scourge that is crossing the land.

This week on your favorite podcast dedicated to writers-in-process, we are discussing love interests and what they can mean to your story. Obviously, If you’re writing a romance, this is your main focus. If your story is living in another genre, then including a love interest may not be so pivotal. Just how important is a love interest to your book? How do deal with the changing faces of love interests? (This can lead to all manner of controversy or challenge.) Does introducing a love interest provide a boon or a bane to your protagonist? Does the relationship have to be successful to be satisfying? These are just some of the questions that we’ll be discussing because, you know, all of us here at Method and Muse are experts in love as well as writing. If you don’t believe us, just ask one of the many heartbroken souls we’ve left in our wake. I’m sure there will be at least one or two.

While we’re handing out advice on handling those love interests, we’ll also still have our regular segments: Old Time Accountability Hour, Ask the Muse, Method to the Madness, and Feed The Fire, so join us for another episode and be amused.
