Hello everyone and welcome back! We’re so glad you decided to join us again.
This week on our beloved podcast, we’re discussing what happens after you sign that all-important contract to have your book published. There’s a lot that still has to happen and we thought you’d like to know what goes on at this point. Well, for an author, not a lot. I stand corrected. There’s a lot of waiting.
Once you’ve signed your contract, the publishers get busy prepping your work for publication. If you’ve been a good little author and made some good personal connections, you might have a say in how your book is going to be designed and laid-out. You might even get to have some input into the design of the bookcover. If you’ve been a bit of a jack-wagon, forget it! The only thing you’ll probably get are a few proofs. (We know you’re going to be nice. None of our listeners would ever be jack-wagons.)
In all seriousness, this is going to take awhile. We just want you to be prepared, so settle in for the long haul and listen to your friends at Method and Muse while you wait for stardom to hit.
